Bloomberg speaks the truth

It'll be interesting to see how involved he decides to get in supporting one of the candidates.

Hillary Clinton: Bystander?

Oh, Nagourns! It's so sad to think of Hillary as a bystander, particularly as the importance of her winning Texas and Ohio is pretty much the story on her today. Comparisons to Giuliani and Flordia abound. I feel sick.
Mr. Obama, in his victory speech in Madison, Wis., acted almost as the primaries were behind him, offering a case against the probable Republican nominee, Senator John McCain of Arizona, as he spoke disparagingly of “Bush-McCain Republicans.” It amounted to a preview of what an Obama-McCain race might be like, and it reduced Mrs. Clinton, at least for one night, to the role of bystander.

Barack: Sexiest Candidate Since Kennedy

I found myself being drawn towards him. His perfect mouth, parted, expectant, open revealed all the things I'd wanted ever wanted to believe, and I finally surrendered myself to him. Yes, I'm talking about Obama's acceptance speech last night.

Of all the talk of how many women are voting Barack, nobody is saying a thing about this man's sex appeal. Women want to sleep with Barack Obama. Just like they wanted to sleep with John F. Kennedy. And probably no other president, because I just looked at a gallery of their portraits, and ick. (Although that sexy Franklin Pierce did make me feel a bit giddy.)

Obama Fervor

If you've felt a little weird about the Obama-as-saint-who-has-come-to-save-us-from-ourselves phenom, take a look at this article.

Mitt Goes Bye-Bye

I apologize for my anti-Mormon tirades, but my disdain for Mitt Romney is based less on my skepticism and anxiety surrounding his religion and more about his emptiness as a human being. Anyway, he go bye-bye. McCain-Huckabee is feeling pretty inevitable.

No End in Sight

Well, we're back at square one, it would seem. Democrats will now spend the next several months trying to decide the candidate that can beat McCain (most probably). I am happy for the successes enjoyed by both Hillary and Barack yesterday. As these next months unfold, I hope they can fight clean and remember that Democrats want them to duke it out in a civilized, respectful manner. Here's to it!

Mac vs. PC

Is Hillary Clinton a PC? The uncool second choice to the Obama/Mac when it comes to being one of the "cool kids?" I don't know if this is true or not, or even it it's helpful or not, but I do think examining what draws a voter to a candidate, whether its something ephemeral like "heat" or "momentum" or whether its something lasting like effective policy change or simply being the person most suited for the job, well, this is something we should all think long and hard about before we walk into that booth tomorrow.

Last Night's Dem Debate

I'm glad that Hillary and Obama behaved like a couple of proper candidates at last night's debate on CNN. Let McCain and Romney tear each other apart.

Furthermore, I was very moved by Hillary's sentiment last night, when she said that as a Democrat, she hoped we were watching the next POTUS on that stage. From your lips, HRC!

The Dems need to think and act smart, unite and pick the best candidate on the best possible information.

Greatest Headline Ever

Interesting idea that it's "an embarrassment of riches for the Jews" with regard to choosing between Ms. Clinton and Mr. Obama come Tuesday. Speaking for myself, I'm just thrilled that I get to actually cast a vote soon. In other, much more important news: Happy Birthday, Claudia!
